We only collect personal information with your permission.

  • Newsletter/Information Request/Mini Course: If a user wishes to subscribe to any of the above, we ask for contact information such as first name and email address. All informational or promotional materials will include clear instructions for "opting out". All such requests will be honored.

  • Live Training Program Updates: When people sign up for a seminar or live training updates, they receive information about future training opportunities. This information will not be shared with organizations and will only be used for the purposes of the seminar - communicating information about this training. All informational or promotional materials will include clear instructions for "opting out". All such requests will be honored.

  • Orders of Tangible Goods: We request information from the user on our product order forms (for tangible goods).  Here a user must provide contact information (such as name and shipping address) and financial information (such as credit card number, expiration date).  This information is used for billing purposes and to fill customer’s orders.  Currently, we are using iFulfill to ship physical goods.        iFulfill.com collects information such as name, address, email address, and credit card number only for the purpose of processing an order or communicating with a customer or supplier about an order.   • Orders of Digital Goods: Some digital orders are handled through Authorize.net and PracticePaySolutions as a payment gateway and credit card/echeck processor (respectively). This is in order to process credit cards. The information collected (address, name, phone, credit card #, expiration date, email etc.) is collected for the purposes of verifying payment of goods and payment itself. Phobias Cured/Advancing Ideas Incorporated may use this information to offer future phobia related products.  All such offers will include clear instructions for "opting out" from future offers.  All such requests will be honored.

  • Orders of Digital Products II: Some orderws of digital products are handled through ClickBank. We request information from the user on our product order forms (for digital products).  Here a user must provide contact information (such as name and address) and financial information (such as credit card number, expiration date).  This information is used for billing purposes and to fill customer’s orders.  Currently, we are using ClickBank to process credit cards on their secure servers.  Here is a statement from ClickBank's web site: http://clickbank.com/cs.html
    Phobias Cured does not have access to the credit card numbers used for these ClickBank orders.  Phobias Cured may use the information collected from these purchases to offer these purchasers future phobia related products.  All such offers will include clear instructions for "opting out" from future offers.  All such requests will be honored.

Phobias Cured may from time to time offer informational articles and tips as well as products or services related to phobias. Clear instructions for removal from any future offers will be provided and all removal requests will be honored.

Cookies: A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user’s hard drive containing information about the user.  Usage of a cookie is in no way linked to any personally identifiable information while on our site. Phobias Cured uses cookies for aggregate purposes - not for the collection of personal data.

Phobias Cured may use Log Files and IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the site, track user’s movement, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use.  IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information with one exception. IP addresses are logged for those who request information from the site via email.

Referral Program: Phobias Cured may ask a user to use our referral service for informing a friend about our site.  In this process we ask them for the friend’s name and email address.  Phobias Cured will automatically send the friend a one-time email inviting them to visit the site.  Phobias Cured stores this information briefly for the sole purpose of sending this one-time email.  The friend will be informed that no further emails will be sent and no records kept of the contact information unless the friend actively responds to the offer.

Security: This website takes every precaution to protect our users’ information.  When users submit sensitive information via the website, the information is protected both online and off-line. Currently, all payments for Phobias Cured are being handled by outside credit card processing companies.  Phobias Cured will only use third party credit card processors who use SSL - the best encryption software in the industry.  You will know you're on an SSL protected page when the lock icon on the bottom of Web browsers such as Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer becomes locked, as opposed to un-locked, or open, when you are just ‘surfing’.

While our credit card processor uses SSL encryption to protect sensitive information online, we also do everything in our power to protect user-information off-line.  All of our users’ information, not just the sensitive information mentioned above, is restricted in our offices.  Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers that we store personally identifiable information on are kept in a secure office, with no public access. 

Privacy Policy Changes: Any changes to this policy will be posted on the home page.  All information collected before the changes will be subject to the original privacy policy.
